Elizabeth Self, Quo Vadis Catholic

Describe your company: Quo Vadis Catholic ("QV Catholic") helps parishes convert underused property such as rectories and convents into residential communities for faith-filled, service-minded young adults.

Target Industry: Real Estate Tech

What is your role in the company, and please list team members' names and their current role in the company:   I am Formation Manager. Nathan Poe is Founder, VP, and Board member. David Murphy is Founder and Board member. Kevin Angell is President and Treasurer.

Why did you apply to Race To Revenue? What are you hoping to get out of this experience? I was onboarded with QV Catholic over winter break, and with our communities located in South Bend and various connections to Notre Dame, R2R was an obvious choice! I am eager to learn beyond my fields of study, to collaborate with other students and consider how their ventures might inform ours, and to see how we can grow in these ten weeks.

Has there been someone who has helped you with your venture so far?  David Murphy (senior) and John Henry, as well as contacts at similar organizations such as Lisieux House in Seattle, have already assisted us in our venture. We are eager to make new connections this summer at the IDEA Center and beyond.

What do you want to learn more about, relating to business development in general or your own company/venture specifically?  I expect to learn quite a bit, particularly in regards to property law, economy of scale, and intra-Church relations, which is an aspect unique of our start-up.

Entrepreneurial fun fact: When we were little, my twin brother and I would go around our front yard with scissors snipping flowers and sell them for $1 in SOLO cups on Mother's Day!

Favorite place to get tacos and what kind? A serious question to an Arizonan! I adore the ones we make at home—ground beef, tostadas, nothing special!
