Target Industry: eCommerce

What is your role in the company, and please list team members' names and their current role in the company:  As a research and development intern, I work to improve the Woodchuck user experience through a human centered approach. I conduct extensive user research and partner with firewood suppliers across South Bend.

Why did you apply to Race To Revenue? What are you hoping to get out of this experience?  I applied to Race to Revenue to gain practical experience working with startups and prepare myself for potentially serving as a Startup Coach at the IDEA Center next Fall. I also hope to lead a team in Race to Revenue in-person next summer!

Has there been someone who has helped you with your venture so far?  I am hoping to connect with an industry leader in a retail food or camping industry.

What do you want to learn more about, relating to business development in general or your own company/venture specifically?  My three learning objectives are (1) the “Working Backwards” approach to validating new product/service ideas, (2) understanding and applying the concept of the “Unit Economics” of a business, and (3) customer acquisition techniques for e-commerce startups. I am also hoping to develop my analytical/problem-solving skills, communication, and time management.

Entrepreneurial fun fact?  My late grandfather was an entrepreneur, having founded his first business at the age of 22. I hope to honor his memory by making a real impact through entrepreneurship.

Favorite place to get tacos and what kind? This is an easy one! I love the chicken tacos at Nakú Mexican Food in Roseland, IN.
