Comm Engine Chacha

Why did you apply for the Commercialization Engine Internship? I was recommended to apply for the internship by one of my upperclassmen mentors, Patrick Rossetto, who has worked at the engine on risk assessment for the past three years. I decided to apply once I looked more into it and realized it would be a great opportunity to try my hand at a market research role and become a part of a welcoming community of driven people.

What team are you working on? I am on the Derisking with MaryBeth.

What project are you working on? 22-058: A membrane-integrated microfluidic chip that irreversibly dissociates ribonucleoproteins.

Describe your overall internship experience: My overall internship experience has been largely positive. I have genuinely enjoyed building relationships and becoming friends with the other interns and our manager-mentors. It also has been a unique experience to decide to stay in South Bend throughout most of my summer and experience campus outside of the school year.

What has been your biggest takeaway from the internship? When you need guidance, ask for help.

Fun fact about you: My name means "a wagon bearing good news."
