Describe your company: Speak2Day is an educational platform that teaches English to migrants in the US and specializes in the vocabulary needed for specific jobs and purposes.

Why did you apply to Race To Revenue? What are you hoping to get out of this experience? We wanted to continue the work on our startup with the freedom to focus on it 100 percent after graduating. We hope to solidify our value proposition and have a tangible product to show to users and a greater audience.

When is a time you failed forward? One time we pitched at an event to show some of our progress and help the overall theme of the gathering. However, we had just made some changes to our slides, and I forgot about them. It was a rough eight minutes, and I walked away, slightly embarrassed. However, many people saw through that performance and came to talk to me after the event. We made some great connections that night that we continue to communicate with.

Where were you born? What is an interesting fact about your hometown? Monterrey, Mexico - We have two professional soccer teams in the same city. I am a Tigres fan.

Would you rather go back in time or be transported to the future? To the future! I would like to explore something never seen before.

Who is the fictional character you have the most in common with, and why? Arnold from Hey Arnold. I think we both have the same outlook on the world and while life happens, we continue to try to see the best in people. Plus, I love Jazz.

Fun fact about you: I was part of a salsa dancing team. We love dancing in our group.

Lastly, what do you want to learn more about, relating to business development in general or your own company/venture specifically? We want to create a detailed business plan to show the trajectory of our product and our value proposition. We want to create confidence in our product when we show it to investors.
