MaryBeth Wegner is the Derisking Manager at The IDEA Center at the University of Notre Dame. She and her team focus on Problem Validation and Customer Validation, ensuring that the ideas coming through the Center are solving critical problems for one or more customer segments, and that those customers will buy the solution.
MaryBeth joined the IDEA Center from the oil & gas industry where, as a geologist, she worked for a couple oil & gas companies before moving to the service sector. In her roles in software Technical Sales Management she focused on problem discovery, customer needs & wants, and solving the problems through a customer-first, empathetic approach that created trust, strong relationships, and repeat-customers.
MaryBeth earned her BS in Geology at Notre Dame and her MS in Geology at Brigham Young University.
