What was your specific role as an intern at the IDEA Center?

I was a Business Development Representative.

What was your main takeaway from your time working with the IDEA Center?

The IDEA Center at ND unlocks connections you didn't even know you needed. Whether it’s trying to develop your own startup, finding an opportunity to become a part of someone else’s startup or just building your own network, the IDEA Center is a champion at introducing you to who you need to know.

What influence did your IDEA Center work have on your full-time career discernment (and what will you be doing)?

From my summer internship at the IDEA Center last semester and my current work with Constellation Cargo, I realized that a smaller and more dynamic workplace is the environment that I need to be to be successful in a full-time career.

What advice would you give students at ND looking to get involved with the IDEA Center?

Just show up. The staff at the IDEA Center and student ambassadors are always hungry to meet more ND students. All you need to do to unlock the benefits of the IDEA center is make that first connection.

Most memorable moment from IDEA Center work?

Getting to sit down and talk one-on-one with some incredible ND students that are trying to make their mark on the world.

What is the current startup you are supporting?

Constellation Cargo

What do you do for the startup? Any takeaways?

I identify and connect with early adopters and potential investors for the startup. I get to schedule and sit in on meetings with high-profile individuals to get insight on product development. The beauty of the startup life is early involvement, I've only been an employee for a little more than a month and dove right in day one.
