Kevin White, Maverick Biomedical

Describe your company:  A medical device company providing affordable independence to people with limited mobility though kick-ass design.

Target Industry: Health Tech

What is your role in the company, and please list team members' names and their current role in the company: Founder & CEO

Why did you apply to Race To Revenue? What are you hoping to get out of this experience? I applied because this is a phenomenal opportunity that allows me to focus full-time on launching this company, and collaborate with peers that are doing the same!

Has there been someone who has helped you with your venture so far?  Dr. Matt Leevy in the Innovation Lab has been an amazing mentor over the past year both professionally and personally. He is an exceptionally motivational guy who has been instrumental in prototyping and our MVP development.

What do you want to learn more about, relating to business development in general or your own company/venture specifically? I'm looking forward to learning more about sales and marketing in the medical device space, so that more people can learn about devices that could have a huge impact on their daily independence.

Entrepreneurial fun fact: When I was young, myself and the other kids in my cul-de-sac would have lemonade stands and attract customers by doing cartwheels and human pyramids on the sidewalk! Haha, good times.

Favorite place to get tacos and what kind? Santa Cruz Bakery & Taqueria in Portland, OR. They have delicious chorizo!
