Kalyani Devaraj
Kalyani (Kalli) Devaraj is a seasoned business partner, strategic investor, and C-Suite executive with a notable career in identifying market opportunities, launching startups, leading capital raises, and positioning companies for growth and acquisition. Renowned for her network-building skills, she collaborates effectively with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts to help startups achieve their goals.
A few years after earning her MBA from the University of Notre Dame, Kalli launched her own startup through the University’s Idea Center. In 2011, she co-founded Carextech, introducing an innovative SaaS platform to improve the quality of life and care in senior living communities. Serving as COO for three years, CEO for six years, and later as a management consultant, Kalli grew Carextech to 50 times its original size and achieved an 85% EBITDA. Her leadership in lean efficiency and customer focus positioned the company for a successful acquisition at its peak.
In 2020, Kalli joined Turbostart Inc., a venture capital firm in Bangalore, India, as an early investor and Investment Committee member. She later became the Founding Partner and CEO of Turbostart US, raising funds for the US Fund and advising startups on growth strategies, capital raising, lean management, and building alliances.
In early 2024, Kalli founded Carex Ventures, focusing on startups in healthcare, wellness, and food technology. She aims to allocate 10% of the portfolio to impact-focused or minority-owned startups, fostering a diverse and innovative environment.
