IDEA Week: Pete Frates FUNd RUN

-

Location: Frank Eck Baseball Stadium (View on map.nd.edu)

Each year the University of Notre Dame baseball team hosts an ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease) game during the Saturday of each Boston College series wherein all funds collected from the game are donated to the Pete Frates #3 Fund.

Pete Frates was a baseball student-athlete at Boston College and played under our current head baseball coach, Mik Aoki, before being diagnosed with ALS in 2012.

In an effort to help raise money for the ALS cause, Notre Dame baseball will be kicking off its inaugural Pete Frates FUNd RUN this season, on Saturday, April 28th. This event will include a 2-mile walk and a timed 5k and 10k. All proceeds from this run will be donated to the Pete Frates #3 Fund to help raise money for educational, awareness and research purposes for ALS.
