Operations and Student Experience Manager, ESTEEM
Jessica is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and is excited to have returned to the University as Operations and Student Experience Manager for the ESTEEM Graduate Program. She received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology in 2013. As an undergraduate she was very involved in dorm life, playing many inter-hall sports and serving Ryan Hall as a Resident Assistant. In addition, Jessica was a founding officer of EduClub, an education club on campus, and published research on parent engagement in the School Community Journal.
After graduation, her interest in education led her to teach 3rd grade in the city of New Orleans with Teach For America. Jessica wrote about her experience with the program and was published in the book, Teach For America Counter-Narratives: Alumni Speak Up and Speak Out (Peter Lang, 2015). Next, she spent several years teaching preschool and kindergarten students in a child-centered classroom in South Bend.
Jessica has also worked at a local New Orleans law firm and as a field organizer for the All IN 4 Pre-K campaign, advocating for increased access to high-quality pre-K in the state of Indiana. She is grateful to be a part of the entrepreneurial ESTEEM team and to have the opportunity to work directly with the talented students of the ESTEEM Graduate Program.
