Technology Validation Manager
As Technology Validation Manager, Ben assesses the technical readiness of a wide range of early-stage technologies and defines appropriate milestones and associated validation studies to achieve proof of concept. Ben has worked on the development and de-risking of various technologies while at the IDEA Center, including biotechnology, advanced materials, medical devices, and manufacturing/process innovations.
Prior to his current role at the IDEA Center, Ben worked as a scientist in Technical Operations at Siemens Healthcare, where he supported the manufacturing, process/product development, and quality systems of an array of point of care diagnostic medical devices. After his time with Siemens, Ben functioned as the assay development lead of an early-stage molecular diagnostic startup, AgenDx Biosciences. Here Ben gained experience in early-stage company formation, fundraising, and operations.
Ben holds a Master of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.
