IDEA Week: Design Thinking, A Workshop with IDEO

From designing the first manufacturable mouse for Apple to advancing the practice human design, world-renowned and Silicon Valley-based IDEO, has long been at the forefront of creating change through design. Dennis Boyle, University of Notre Dame alumnus and a founding member of IDEO, has worked as a project leader for many of the firm's startups and established clients, including Apple, Palm, Tivo, Handspring, HP, Dell, Proctor and Gamble, and more! Boyle also consults as an assistant professor at Stanford UNiversity, teaching classes in the Design Division of the Mechanical Engineering School. Attendees will get a chance to hear Boyle discuss the design process that IDEO has refined for years with leading organizations from around the world including three key elements: inspire, ideate, and implement. He will delve into the importance of listening, learning, and using empathy to create new innovations that meet users' needs.
